Big psychedelic self-portrait

A self-portrait I started painting back in 2014. but never finished it, had some dilemmas about the background etc. After all this time I didn't find no other more creative solution but to simply finish it with a gradient sky, add some pink mountains. Hope its ok.. :) It is sort of the 4th painting in a series I did in 2009.-2010. named "Three portraits"

"Motives from the suburbs", "Motivi iz okolice"

A series of 30 gouache paintings I did at the end of 2016. on the base of my detour of the surrounding area of Zagreb/Croatia. Each painting features one of the suburbian villages which lay on the border of the city. The whole series is painted in a style inspired by Croatian naive artists and naive and outsider art in general.

"Croatian Mountains" painting series

This is a series of Mountain paintings I started in the second half of 2017 and which where exhibited in the Lauba gallery in February 2018. In order to achieve a more personal aesthetics, I decided to do the paintings without using photo reference. Instead, I used a map to mark the most important peaks of that mountain, as well as on-location sketches from my hikes.

These paintings are the second part of the Mountain painting series, which are created in the technique of reverse glass painting – a technique traditionally used by Croatian naive painters from the village Hlebine.
